Delta Astronomical Private Observatory, DAPO,  is a home observatory of the owner of this website. Situated 8 km North of Johannesburg CBD and surrounded from West, North and East by 104 hectares of grassland, dams and woodland of Delta Park, the area has low light and industrial pollution level and provides wide views in all directions. Main work which is done from the observatory includes astro-photography and visual observations in general; solar, lunar and planetary  imaging and observations, meteors and comets imaging, International Space Station and other bright artificial satellites imaging, limited deep sky objects observations and photography, participation in local and international amateur astronomy projects and promoting amateur astronomy.
