The Soutpansberg Astronomy Club meets on the first Thursday of the month excluding December and has at least one observing evening during the course of the month.  The Club is involved in astronomy in the area and assist schools in presentations on the subject in and around Louis Trichardt. 

 

The Soutpansberg Astronomy Club in Louis Trichardt will have a number of
telescopes available as well as big screen with real time video imaging for those

IYA-2009 is over, but it'll be remebered by hundreds of people in Limpopo province and beyond, who have been fortunate to come across at least one of the astronomical outreach events, organized and hosted by the Soutpansberg Astronomy Club and LimpopoAstronomy Outreach Project, led by Kos Coronaios. Kos has prepared a commemorative news letter issue, where he looks back at first 9 months of IYA 2009.
